As part of my Master's curriculum, we had to build several apps, websites, experiences and storymaps. I've always been a fan of presenting information visually so, naturally, I had to include those here!
Google Sites isn't the best when it comes to embeds, so I've included handy buttons in each section which will take you to the full product.
This is by far one of my favorites! The task was to build an ArcGIS Experience. The year I made this was 2024, an election year, so you can assume why I chose a satirical (albeit every bit functional!) piece for my assignment. It's got relatively simple functionality, but a few zingers. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
This Experience is a part of a larger project which includes a Storymap. The goal was to create an experience that would take you to the StoryMap and vice versa. It functions on its own, giving each trail an informative and interactive "tour" while the StoryMap tells you about the contextual history surrounding Western Expansionism in the United States.
I consider myself a bit of a history nerd. At the time I made these, I was really interested in the 18th and 19th centuries. Napoleon Bonaparte seemed an easy enough person to focus on for my first storymap I ever made and, once I got the hang of it, my final project of that semester was the Trails piece I talked about before.
In this assignment we had to produce our own dashboard using live data, similar to how we'd already done in one of the ESRI tutorials. Since I live in Arizona, I found it appropriate to focus mine on the Southwestern portion of the US.
